With Fabrizio Cassol and Adèle Viret
A unique and fascinating sonic journey, where writing and improvisation meet to explore new territories. Fabrizio Cassol on saxophone, Adele Viret on cello and Lorenzo Bianchi Hoesch on electronics combine their artistic sensibilities in a profound and innovative dialogue.
The band moves between complex, sustained electronic rhythms that serve as the backdrop for a choral, dreamlike, enveloping music, capable of shifting from quick, precise moments of writing to vast, layered, improvised soundscapes.
The lines of the saxophone, the warmth of the cello and electronic textures merge in an immersive experience that blends contemporary jazz and electronic music in an original and personal way.
At the heart of this musical proposal lies the search for microtonal harmonic freedom, where the subtlest nuances and hidden colors of the notes emerge in a profound dialogue between the instruments.
In this project, the balance between compositional writing and free improvisation creates a continuous interplay between structure and spontaneity. The music is never predictable: each performance becomes a unique event, where resonances and silences alternate with explosions of energy and complexity.
It’s a celebration of listening, creative risk-taking and the transformative power of music.
Fabrizio Cassol, saxophonist and composer, with his group Aka Moon and collaborations of all kinds and horizons, has studied, experimented and integrated instrumental techniques from cultures far removed from traditional Western harmonies.
Cellist Adèle Viret is also interested in distant cultures and has developed a highly personal approach to the instrument.
Lorenzo Bianchi Hoesch, musician and electronic composer, develops fluid electronics, largely based on real time, escaping from classical electronic approaches towards a singular, personal path.
