Square Collegno

Sound Installation
Lavanderia a Vapore

Square Collegno is an interactive installation that provides a path within a place.
Connected to a website with your phone, guided by the sound in the headphones, through voices, soundscapes and music, we watch differently the world, in a manner that has more to do with the possible than with the real. The sound in which you are immersed is hyper-realistic in order to generate an impression of alter-reality. Nothing to do with science fiction or virtual reality, but rather a subtle way of directing the gaze on a possible phase shift of the surroundings through sound.
Square is a contemplative experience that unfolds as you pass through places that, made ambiguous by overlapping and layered soundscapes, are the key of the experience.
Square is a narrative mechanism, it is an empty box to be filled with always different contents coming from the various places it invests and inhabits. The contents, therefore, emerge directly from the place for which it is conceived and to which it is, in some way, dedicated.

Square Collegno is an interactive installation that is deeply linked to the space for which it is conceived because it is in close dialogue with the environment in which it is located.

1) Complete experience: go to the Lavanderia a vapore in Collegno , connect your smartphone, connect headphones, follow the “walk” of the installation.
2) Just to get an idea: connect your device (computer, tablet or mobile phone) to the site and follow the path in a virtual way.
